Mould removal and disinfection are closely related: when mould is present in a space, the colony and its root structure should be fully removed before disinfection for the treatment to produce lasting results. Applying disinfection over active mould without addressing the source does not resolve the underlying contamination. Our experts can assess both concerns together and recommend the appropriate sequence of treatment.
Here is what to prepare before our team arrives to ensure the treatment is as effective as possible:
- Pack all exposed fruits and food products in pantry areas and work stations, and place them in the fridge or sealed cupboards. Any exposed tea bags should be kept away too.
- All drinking and eating utensils must be put away. If not, please make sure to wash them with soap before use after the treatment.
- Cover all water dispensers and kettle mouth openings, but do not cover the lever. If not, please make sure to clean them before use.
- Please keep all NCR/Carbonless documents and jackets away from your table, as the process may wet loose carbon documents. Normal A4 paper and files are fine to remain on the table.
- All doors and windows must be closed during the treatment.
- All pets must vacate the premises and fish tanks must be covered. Please inform us in advance if there are fish tanks on the property.
- All exposed electronic items such as PU Boards must be covered with a drop cloth or trash bags. Computers and printers are fine as long as the casing is not open.
- Please do not cover your work stations, as the main purpose of this treatment is to treat your keyboards, tables, telephones, and similar surfaces.
After the treatment is complete, follow these steps to maintain the effectiveness of the disinfection:
- Do not enter the premises for 45 minutes to 1 hour after the treatment is completed.
- Wash all drinking, cooking, and eating utensils and the kettle thoroughly if you did not keep them away beforehand.
- Food production, manufacturing, preparation counters, machines, lab rooms, and cultivation rooms must be cleaned thoroughly.
- Please purchase hand sanitiser and place it at critical points for regular use.
- Wash hands regularly with water and soap.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly by incorporating this into your daily or weekly cleaning routine.
